NCL, Inc., Portland Chapter is a group of mothers and daughters who have come together in a commitment to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences. We come together as members approximately six times per year in a mix of meetings with speakers on topics such as helping your daughters foster healthy relationships, how to build service into your family rituals and life and help our daughters learn new skills – from how to run a meeting, to self defense, interviewing tips and tricks to help them get their first job and how to help them find the college of their dreams. Locally we serve 23 Portland Metro Charity organizations and as a chapter annually give more than 6,200 hours of service which translates to an annual philanthropic impact of more than $150,000 in our community. Our Portland chapter includes mother/daughter pairs from 13 area middle schools and 11 area high schools with a total of about 250 in our chapter. The vast majority of our mothers work full or part time and find value in the connections and programming that our chapter provides. Members shall reside in the Greater Portland Metropolitan Area.
